Svenska Cupen 2004 was the forty-ninth season of the main Swedish football Cup. The competition started on 28 March 2004 and concluded on 6 November 2004 with the Final, held at Råsunda Stadium, Solna Municipality in Stockholms län. Djurgårdens IF won the final 3–1 against IFK Göteborg. First round There were 34 matches played between 28 March and 12 April 2004. Djurgårdens IF Fotbollsförening – commonly known as Djurgårdens IF, Djurgården Fotboll (official name), Djurgården (), and (especially locally) Djurgår'n (), Dif or DIF – is the men's association football department of its parent association Djurgårdens IF. Founded 1891 on the island of Djurgården, the club's home ground is Tele2 Arena, situated in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm. Competing in the highest Swedish tier, Allsvenskan, the club has won the league twelve times and the cup five times. The league titles have mainly been won during three separate eras. The first period was the 1910s, when they won four league titles. The second era occurred in the 1950s and 60s, when Djurgården also won the league four times. IF VP Uppsala, earlier called IF Vindhemspojkarna, is a Swedish football club located in Uppsala. Background The club started as a bandy club but branched out into many other sports. However, now all departments but the football has been terminated. Since their foundation IF Vindhemspojkarna has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. IF VP played in the Swedish second division in 2000 and 2001. The club currently plays in Division 5 Uppland Västra which is the seventh tier of Swedish football. Husqvarna FF is a football club in Huskvarna, Sweden. The team is sponsored by the Husqvarna AB. History Husqvarna FF was founded on 3 February 1987 following the merger of the men's association football sections of Husqvarna IF and Huskvarna Södra IS. In its early years the new club played in Divisions 2 and 3. The club's fortunes improved in 1998 when the club finished with nine points ahead of Myresjö IF to win Division 2 Östra Götaland and gain promotion to Division 1 Södra, the second tier of Swedish football. However their stay in Division 1 was short-lived and they were relegated at the end of the 1999 season. Skövde AIK
Skövde AIK is a Swedish football club from Skövde. It was founded on 21 June 1919. The club is currently in Superettan. Background Skövde AIK has played 14 seasons in second tier Swedish football, the last time being as recently as 1995 in the Division 1 Södra. Eight seasons later the club had plunged into Division 5 Västergötland Östra, the sixth tier, having been relegated 3 consecutive times between 2000 and 2002. However SAIK have made a dramatic recovery and by 2007 were back in Division 1 Södra which is now the third tier of Swedish football after 4 consecutive promotions. IFK Timrå
IFK Timrå is a Swedish football club located in Timrå in Västernorrland County. Background Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Timrå was formed on 9 January 1978 as a spin-off from Timra IK with the emphasis from an early stage on youth development. IFK Timra is now one of Norrland's largest football clubs, with around 1,200 members, of whom about 600 are active participants. The Youth Section currently has approximately 500 active members who are catered for by around 30 teams, from the age of 8 to junior level. Östersunds Fotbollsklubb, commonly known simply as Östersunds FK, Östersund () or (especially locally) ÖFK, is a Swedish professional football club located in Östersund, Sweden and since 2022 play in the Swedish second tier, Superettan. Friska Viljor FC is a Swedish football club located in Örnsköldsvik in Örnsköldsvik Municipality, Västernorrland County. Background The club was formed in February 1994 but was previously the football section of the multi-sport club IF Friska Viljor. From 1995 to 1998 the new club progressed through the league system from Division 6 to Division 2. In 2003 the club won Division 2 Norrland and then participated in the promotion play-offs. They won 4–3 away to Väsby IK FK and then lost 2–3 at home but were promoted to the Superettan on away goals. Robertsfors IK is a Swedish football club located in Robertsfors. The club, formed 1907, is currently playing in the fourth highest Swedish league, Division 2. Background Robertsfors IK was formed in 1907 and bore the name ''Robertsfors Gymnastik och Idrottsförening'' for a short time. Ulvåkers IF is a Swedish football club located in Skövde in Skövde Municipality, Västra Götaland County.
