2004 Little League World Series
The 2004 Little League World Series took place between August 20 and August 29 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Pabao Little League of Willemstad, Curaçao, defeated Conejo Valley Little League of Thousand Oaks, California, in the championship game of the 58th Little League World Series. This was the first LLWS title for the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Qualification Pool play The top two teams in each pool move on to their respective semifinals. Randal Alexander Grichuk (born August 13, 1991) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays. Grichuk was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the first round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft from Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas. Jonathan Rufino Jezus Schoop ( ; born October 16, 1991) is a Curaçaoan professional baseball second baseman for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Jurickson Barthelomeus Profar (born February 20, 1993) is a Curaçaoan professional baseball infielder and outfielder who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics and San Diego Padres. Profar was born and Willemstad and has been involved in organized baseball from a young age, representing Curaçao at the Little League World Series in 2004 and 2005. Flag Of Curaçao
The national flag of Curaçao represents the country of Curaçao as well as the island area within the Netherlands Antilles from 1984 until its dissolution in 2010. The flag is a blue field with a horizontal yellow stripe slightly below the midline and two white, five-pointed stars in the canton.
