The 2004 ICC Six Nations Challenge was an international limited-overs cricket tournament held in the United Arab Emirates from 29 February to 6 March 2004. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. The United Arab Emirates national cricket team ( ar, فريق الإمارات الوطني للكريكيت) is the team that represents the United Arab Emirates in international cricket. Austin Codrington
Austin Codrington (born 22 August 1975) is a former Canadian One Day International cricketer. He is primarily a bowler but can contribute useful runs near the bottom of the order on occasion; as of 2005 he has a highest first-class score of 48. His fielding is also very good, particularly his catching. Desmond Randolph Chumney (born 8 January 1968) is a Canadian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm offbreak bowler. Ashish Bagai (born 26 January 1982) is the former captain of the Canadian cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman who specialises as a wicketkeeper. Early life He studied at St. Columba's School during his brief stay in Delhi, India. He moved to Canada at the age of 11. Joseph Vikram Harris (born 16 August 1965) is an Indian-born Canadian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-hand offbreak bowler. Having played cricket since the mid-eighties, including a handful of matches for Barbados he became the leader of the Canadian cricket team in 2003, captaining them into the 2003 Cricket World Cup. Emmerson Trotman
Emmerson Nathaniel Trotman (born 10 November 1954) is a former West Indies cricketer who played in the role of an allrounder. Trotman featured as right handed batsman for Barbados, the West Indies rebels and Border in his cricketing career. He later served as the head coach of the Netherlands as well as Barbados. Playing career Born in Paradise Village, Christ Church, Barbados, Trotman played for Barbados from 1976 to 1983. He then joined the West Indies rebels, playing on their tours to South Africa. Kevin Curran (cricketer)
Kevin Malcolm Curran (7 September 1959 – 10 October 2012) was a Zimbabwean international cricketer. He was part of Zimbabwe's first One Day International side following independence at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He went on to be the head coach of the Zimbabwe national cricket team from August 2005 until September 2007. Born in 1959 at Rusape in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, he played in 324 first-class and 407 List A cricket matches. He also possessed an Irish passport as his paternal grandfather moved to Rhodesia in 1902. Bryan Mauricette
Bryan Michael Mauricette (born 4 September 1946) was a cricketer: a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman who played a handful of first-class matches (and one List A game) for the Windward Islands between 1966–67 and 1972–73 without ever passing 20. He later played for Canada in both the 1979 ICC Trophy and the same year's World Cup. His new country lost all three of their World Cup matches by large margins, with Mauricette making just 20 runs in his three ODI innings. His ICC Trophy performances were also mostly poor, although he did make 72 in the semi-final victory against Bermuda. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches. 2004 ICC Champions Trophy
The 2004 ICC Champions Trophy was held in England in September 2004. Twelve teams competed in 15 matches spread over 16 days at three venues: Edgbaston, The Rose Bowl and The Oval. The nations competing included the ten Test nations, Kenya (ODI status), and – making their One Day International debut – the United States who qualified by winning the 2004 ICC Six Nations Challenge by the smallest of margins (coming down to net run rate over Canada, Namibia, and the Netherlands who had all recently played in the 2003 Cricket World Cup).
