2004 FA Summer Tournament
The 2004 FA Summer Tournament was a minor international football competition that took place in England from 30 May to 5 June 2004. Host nation England, Japan and Iceland participated in the tournament. All matches took place at the City of Manchester Stadium, home of Manchester City. This three-nation mini-tournament was arranged as a preparatory exercise for England just before UEFA Euro 2004 began the following week. It featured England’s squad for that tournament, which had been named two weeks before on 17 May 2004. They won the tournament on goal difference from Japan, having been held to a draw by them but defeating Iceland via a greater margin. Heiðar Helguson
Heiðar Helguson (; born 22 August 1977) is an Icelandic former professional footballer who played as a striker. Heiðar started his career in the Icelandic league system, with UMFS Dalvík and Þróttur. Following a one-season spell in Norway with Lillestrøm SK, Heiðar moved to England to play for Watford in 1999, with Lillestrøm receiving a transfer fee of £1.5 million. The English media anglicised his name to Heidar when he joined Watford – it is by this given name that he is commonly known in England. Although Watford were relegated from the Premier League during his first season at the club, Heiðar was a prolific goalscorer, finishing as the team's top scorer in the 1999–2000, 2002–03 and 2004–05 seasons, before being sold to Fulham in 2005. Ívar Ingimarsson
Ívar Ingimarsson (born 20 August 1977) is an Icelandic former professional footballer who played as a centre back. He began his career in Iceland with Valur and ÍBV before moving to England where, after an initial loan spell with Torquay United, he joined Brentford, making over 100 appearances. He moved to Reading in 2003, spending the next eight years with club and amassing 281 appearances before ending his career with a short spell at Ipswich Town. At international level Ívar represented Iceland at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level before making his senior debut in 1998. is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played for Japan national team. Club career After graduating from Nara Ikuei High School in 1995, Narazaki joined J1 League side Yokohama Flügels. Logi Ólafsson (born 14 November 1954) is an Icelandic Association football, football coach and former player. Ásgeir Sigurvinsson
Ásgeir "Sigi" Sigurvinsson (born 8 May 1955 in Vestmannaeyjar) is an Icelandic retired football attacking midfielder and coach. He spent most of his career at Standard Liège and in Germany, amassing Bundesliga totals of 211 games and 39 goals for two clubs, mainly Stuttgart. Marel Jóhann Baldvinsson (born 18 December 1980) is an Icelandic football forward who last played for Stjarnan. Eiður Smári Guðjohnsen (transliterated as Eidur Smari Gudjohnsen; born 15 September 1978) is an Icelandic professional football coach and former player who played as a forward. Indriði Sigurðsson (born 12 October 1981) is an Icelandic former football defender. He last played for the Icelandic club KR Reykjavik. Club career He started his career in KR Reykjavik, and went to Norway to play for Lillestrøm SK in 2000. In September 2003 he moved on to KRC Genk in Belgium. Arnar Grétarsson (born 20 February 1972 in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic former professional football player and current manager of Valur. Brynjar Björn Gunnarsson (born 16 October 1975) is an Icelandic former footballer who last played for KR as a midfielder.
