2004 2. Divisjon
The 2004 2. divisjon season was the third highest football (soccer) league for men in Norway. 26 games were played in 4 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. FK Tønsberg, Tønsberg, Follo FK, Follo, Løv-Ham Fotball, Løv-Ham and Alta IF, Alta were promoted to the Adeccoligaen, First Division. Number twelve, thirteen and fourteen were relegated to the 3. divisjon. The winning teams from each of the 24 groups in the 3. divisjon each faced a winning team from another group in a playoff match, resulting in 12 playoff winners which were promoted to the 2. divisjon. Football (soccer)
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. FK Oslo Øst
Manglerud Star Fotball is an association football club based in Oslo, Norway. It is part of the multi-sport club Manglerud Star. The club was established in its current form on December 14, 2005 after a merger between Manglerud Star Fotball and Fotballklubben Oslo Øst, the latter of which originally formed in 2000. Manglerud Star Fotball went bankrupt on April 4, 2011, and withdrew all their teams from competition; the club was refounded in 2013. History FK Oslo Øst (Oslo East) were founded on January 1, 2000. Five minor football clubs from the eastern part of Oslo decided to pool their resources into a single elite team, under the presumption that this one team would fare better at the higher levels of Norwegian football than what any of the clubs could ever achieve on their own. Ullensaker/Kisa IL, commonly referred to as Ull/Kisa, is a Norwegian sports club from Jessheim in Ullensaker. Founded in 1894, it has sections for association football, team handball and athletics. General history The club was founded on 15 December 1894. After the Second World War it incorporated the AIF club ''Ullensaker AIL'', founded 1932. Norwegian reserve football teams compete at all levels of league football within the Norwegian football league system apart from the top two divisions, Eliteserien and 1. divisjon. The highest league these teams can currently enter is the 2. divisjon, set at the third tier of the league system. The reserve teams are attached to their first teams with a "2" suffix and must play in a lower league than the first team. Furthermore, if a club's first team plays in the 1. divisjon, the reserves team cannot play in the 2. divisjon either. If a reserve team ends up at a promotion spot when it is not allowed to be promoted, the promotion is awarded to best following team in the league standings which is allowed to be promoted. Also, a reserve team is forcefully relegated, regardless of the final league position, if it is no longer qualified for playing at that level - i.e. if the first team is relegated to a league level where the reserve team's level is no longer allowed.
