:''The head of state of Pakistan from independence until Pakistan became a republic in 1956 was the Pakistani monarch. For the Governor-Generals who represented them from 1947 to 1956, see Governor-General of Pakistan.'' The President of Pakistan is the head of state of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. According to the Constitution of Pakistan, the president has "powers, subject to Supreme Court approval or veto, to dissolve the National Assembly, triggering new elections, and thereby dismissing the prime minister". These powers were repeatedly modified through amendments to the constitution, which were introduced as the results of military coups and changes in government. Since the 18th Amendment to the Constitution was passed in 2010, Pakistan has been shifted back from semi-presidential to a parliamentary republic. Mine Clearance
Demining or mine clearance is the process of removing land mines from an area. In military operations, the object is to rapidly clear a path through a minefield, and this is often done with devices such as mine plows and blast waves. By contrast, the goal of ''humanitarian demining'' is to remove all of the landmines to a given depth and make the land safe for human use. Specially trained dogs are also used to narrow down the search and verify that an area is cleared. Mechanical devices such as flails and excavators are sometimes used to clear mines. A great variety of methods for detecting landmines have been studied. These include electromagnetic methods, one of which (ground penetrating radar) has been employed in tandem with metal detectors. Acoustic methods can sense the cavity created by mine casings. Sensors have been developed to detect vapor leaking from landmines. Pakistan experienced unprecedented economic growth during FY 2004. Its large-scale manufacturing sector grew at a rate of over 18%. Hard-currency reserves, having grown phenomenally in recent years, reached record levels. GDP growth reached 8.4% in the twelve months ending June 30, 2004. Pakistan's stock market has been one of the best-performing stock markets this century, . The government's credit rating was upgraded by Moody's and Standard & Poor's. Pakistan announced that it no longer needed International Monetary Fund (IMF) assistance. The government's economic reforms were praised highly by supranational institutions such as the World Bank, IMF and the Asian Development Bank. Naseem Abbas Shah (Urdu, Pashto: نسیم عباس شاه; born 15 February 2003) is a Pakistani international cricketer. He is a fast bowler and is in the playing XI in all formats. In October 2019, at the age of 16, he was called up to the Pakistan cricket team for their Test series against Australia. He made his international debut for Pakistan in November 2019 against Australia, becoming the ninth-youngest player to make their debut in Test cricket.
