2003 Tour De Langkawi
The 2003 Tour de Langkawi was the 8th edition of the Tour de Langkawi, a cycling stage race that took place in Malaysia. It began on 31 January in Langkawi and ended on 9 February in Kuala Lumpur. In fact, this race was rated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a 2.2 category race. Tom Danielson of USA won the race, followed by Hernán Darío Muñoz of Colombia second and Fredy González of Colombia third. Graeme Brown of Australia won the points classification category and Roland Green of South Africa won the mountains classification category. won the team classification category. Tom Danielson
Thomas Danielson (born March 13, 1978) is an American retired professional road racing cyclist who competed professionally between 2002 and 2015 for the Mercury Cycling Team (2002), the Saturn Cycling Team (2003), (2004), (2005–2007) and (2008–2015). He had been suspended twice for doping in his career. Career Early years Danielson holds the record for the fastest ascent of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, in the Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb. The previous record holder was professional cyclist Tyler Hamilton. He also holds the record for the Mount Evans Hill Climb in Colorado, which traverses the highest paved road in North America. Luciano André Pagliarini Mendonça (born April 18, 1978, in Arapongas, state of Paraná) is a retired Brazilian cyclist. A renowned sprinter, he has been regarded as one of Brazil's finest cyclists. Pagliarini has taken part in the road cycling race at 2004 Summer Olympics (from which he withdrew due to mechanical trouble) and the 2005 Tour de France (best position: 5th on stage 2, withdrawal on stage 9). Career 2007 Due to health problems, Pagliarini had a bad start in the 2007 season, until the Pan American Games in July, where he won the bronze medal. Ten days after the birth of his first daughter, he won the fifth stage of the Eneco Tour, being the first Brazilian to acquire a victory in the UCI ProTour, with this victory he rebuilt his morale and later won a stage in the Tour of Missouri. Chukai (Terengganu Malay: ''Chuka'', Jawi: چوكاي), also known by the name of Kemaman Town (Malay: ''Bandar Kemaman'', Terengganu Malay: ''Bando Mamang'', est. pop. Marang (est. pop. (2000 census): 4,896) is a town and the seat of Marang District, in the state of Terengganu, Malaysia. The town is located on the South China Sea coast on the main highway between Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan. The main economic activity in Marang is fishery and tourism. Etymology The origin of the district's name is attributed to a Chinese entrepreneur of dried sea products known only by the name of Ma, who was one of the first settlers in the area. Kota Bharu, colloquially referred to as KB, is a town in Malaysia that serves as the state capital and royal seat of Kelantan. Tanah Merah District (meaning ''Red Land'' or ''Laterite'', Kelantanese: ''Tanoh Meghoh''; Jawi: تانه ميره) is a district (jajahan) in the state of Kelantan in northeast Malaysia. Gerik ( Jawi: ڬريق; ; Tamil: கிரிக் ; alternate spelling: Grik) is a mukim and the district capital of Hulu Perak District, Perak, Malaysia.
