2003 PBA Reinforced Conference
The 2003 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) PBA Reinforced Conference, or known as the 2003 Samsung-PBA Reinforced Conference, was the third conference of the 2003 PBA season. It started on August 30 and ended on December 14, 2003. The tournament requires an import or a pure-foreign player for each team. ''The PBA on NBN'' and ''The PBA on IBC'' were brandings used for presentations of Philippine Basketball Association games produced by Summit Sports and was aired on Philippine television networks National Broadcasting Network and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation, respectively in 2003. ''The PBA on NBN'' and ''The PBA on IBC'' succeeded PBA's longtime TV partner '' Vintage Television''. Overview The consortium of NBN and IBC took over the league's TV coverage after winning the TV rights over the league's longtime TV partner Vintage Television on November 8, 2002. The league considered the NBN-IBC bid because they can provide a wider coverage of the games not only in Metro Manila but also throughout the provinces. The consortium signed an agreement to the PBA to cover the games for three years, paying the league for almost P670 million. Chris Carrawell
Chris Carrawell (born November 25, 1977) is a retired American professional basketball player who is best known for his All-American college career at Duke University. He is currently an assistant men's basketball coach under Jon Scheyer. High school career Born in a rough inner city neighborhood in north St. Louis and growing up without his father (he saw him for the first time in 1999), Carrawell attended high school at Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis. Among his teammates were future NBA players Loren Woods and Jahidi White. In four years on the Cardinal Ritter varsity, he led the team to an overall 80–13 record, including a three-year undefeated streak at home. Cedric Ceballos
Cedric Z. Ceballos (born August 2, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. As a small forward, he played mostly for the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers, later finishing his National Basketball Association (NBA) career with the Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat. Playing career Ceballos attended college at Ventura College and later Cal State Fullerton. His career highlights include winning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest with a blindfolded dunk in 1992. He also led the NBA in field goal percentage (57.6) in 1992–93 with the Suns. Leonard Cooke (born April 29, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he is known primarily for having been ranked higher than LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony in 2001. Harold Arceneaux
Early career Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Harold Arceneaux grew up in the B.W. Cooper housing development. At 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds, he was an excellent athlete but struggled academically in high school. Because he did not have suitable academic credentials to play basketball at a four-year university, he enrolled at the College of Eastern Utah, a junior college in Price, Utah. As a freshman (1996–97), he led CEU to a 28–5 record and the Scenic West Conference regular-season championship. Terrence Edward Shannon Jr. (born July 30, 2000) is an American college basketball player for the Illinois Fighting Illini of the Big Ten Conference. Scott David Burrell (born January 12, 1971) is an American basketball coach and former player who is currently the men's basketball head coach at Southern Connecticut State University. He has played internationally and was also a professional baseball player. In 1990, Burrell was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays of MLB.
