2003 Miami Dolphins Season
The 2003 Miami Dolphins season was the franchise's 34th season in the National Football League, the 38th overall and third under head coach Dave Wannstedt. The Dolphins improved upon their previous season's output of 9–7 by winning 10 games. This marked the seventh consecutive winning season for the team and fifteenth straight with a record of .500 or better, but for the second straight year they failed to clinch a playoff berth. Melvin Phillips (born January 6, 1942), is a former American professional football player who played his entire 12-year NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers. Bob Sanders (American Football Coach)
Bob Sanders (born December 5, 1953) is an American football coach. He was previously the defensive coordinator for the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). He coached the Buffalo Bills from 2009 to 2012 after coaching for four years with the Green Bay Packers, four years with the Miami Dolphins and 11 years at the University of Florida. He was let go by the Packers following the 2008 season. Sanders was hired on January 29, 2009, by the Buffalo Bills as defensive line coach. He was dismissed, along with the entire Bills coaching staff on December 31, 2012. Sanders worked under Steve Spurrier for 11 years at Florida. Glenn Pires
Glenn M. Pires (born 1958) is an American football coach. Early life Pires was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He attended school locally, where he became a three-year letter winner in both football and track. He also played in the football team as an offensive guard and linebacker and was selected for several postseason all-star teams. He later played football for Springfield College, where he became a two-year NCAA Division II All-ECAC and All-New England selection. In the track and field teams at New Bedford High and Springfield College, Pires mostly competed in the field events. He was a Southeastern Massachusetts Conference champion in both the shot put and discus in addition to being a Class A and All State finalist in the discus. Clarence Brooks (American Football)
Clarence Brooks (May 20, 1951 – September 17, 2016) was an American football coach. He was the defensive line coach of the Baltimore Ravens from 2005 to 2015. Jim Bates (American Football)
Jim Bates (born May 31, 1946) is a former American football coach in the National Football League (NFL), most recently serving as defensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He primarily ran a 4–3 scheme, using fast, undersized linebackers. Bates served as interim head coach for the Miami Dolphins during the 2004 NFL season. Coaching career Collegiate coaching Bates' coaching career began as a graduate assistant with the Tennessee Volunteers in 1968. Judd Garrett (born June 25, 1967) is a former American football running back in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He also was a member of the Las Vegas Posse in the Canadian Football League and the London Monarchs in the World League of American Football. He played college football at Princeton University. Erwin Patrick Jones (born November 4, 1947) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Oklahoma State University–Stillwater from 1984 to 1994, compiling a record of 62–60–3. Robert Ford (born June 21, 1951) is an American football coach. He won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Houston.
