Matt Underwood is an American sportscaster currently serving as the television play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). Broadcasting career Prior to joining the Guardians broadcast team on a full-time basis in 2000, Underwood spent 10 years at WEWS-TV 5 in Cleveland (ABC). Underwood joined WEWS as an associate sports producer after graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1990. In December 1994, Underwood was named as a sports producer/reporter. Dave Elder (baseball)
David Matthew Elder (born September 23, 1975) is an American former Major League Baseball player. A pitcher, Elder played for the Cleveland Indians in and . Elder attended Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida, and played college baseball for Georgia Tech. In 1996, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was selected by the Texas Rangers in the fourth round of the 1997 MLB draft. Elder began his career with the rookie-level Pulaski Rangers, and had a 1.95 earned run average (ERA) in 20 games. He missed the 1998 season due to Tommy John surgery. Afterwards, he would play in 24 games for the Charlotte Rangers, finishing with a 4-2 win–loss record and a 2.84 ERA. Chad Griffin Durbin (born December 3, 1977), is an American former professional baseball pitcher, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Indians, and Detroit Tigers of the American League (AL), and the Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves of the National League (NL). John Baptiste "Jack" Cressend III (born May 13, 1975) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Cressend played for the Minnesota Twins (-) and Cleveland Indians (-). Career Cressend attended Mandeville High School and played college baseball for the Green Wave of Tulane University. In 1995 and 1996, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL). He posted a 7–1 record in 1995, and 7–0 in 1996 with a 1.89 ERA.
