A-League (American)
A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. A-League Men was established in 2004 as the A-League by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a successor to the National Soccer League (NSL) and competition commenced in August 2005. The league is currently are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), contested by twelve teams; eleven based in Australia and one based in New Zealand. The men's, women's and youth leagues have now been brought together under a unified A-Leagues banner. El Paso Patriots
El Paso Patriots was an American soccer team based in El Paso, Texas, United States. Founded in 1989, the team played in the Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Mid South Division of the Southern Conference. The team played its home games at the soccer-specific Patriot Stadium, where they played since 2005 until 2012, when they played their last season (2013) home schedule at the SAC. The team's colors were red, navy blue and white. Prior to their stadium being completed in 2005, the Patriots played at the Sun Bowl Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at El Paso, and at Dudley Field, the former home of the El Paso Diablos baseball team. Kirk Wilson
Kirk Wilson is a retired American soccer player who played professionally in Major League Soccer and the USL A-League. Youth Wilson’s family moved from California to El Paso, Texas when he was a child. He graduated from Coronado High School where he was part of the 1996 Texas State High School soccer championship team. During the summer of 1997, Wilson played for the Des Moines Menace of the USISL Premier Development Soccer League. Wilson attended Drake University, playing on the men’s soccer team 1996 and 1997. Professional In 1998, Wilson left Drake soon after and moved to Germany where he spent time training with various teams. Doug Miller (soccer)
Doug Miller (born May 5, 1969) is an American youth soccer coach and retired soccer player. He spent one season in Major Indoor Soccer League and nine in the National Professional Soccer League as a forward, winning two championships and leading the league in scoring in 1998–99. Miller also played ten seasons of outdoor soccer in the USISL and A-League. He was the 1996 and 1997 USISL A-League leading scorer and 1997 league MVP. He also won one U.S. Open Cup. In 2011, he became the first player signed to the new Rochester Lancers indoor team and was named the first team captain in the club's history. Stoian Mladenov (first name more frequently transliterated as Stoyan) ( bg, Стоян Младенов) is a retired Bulgarian football (soccer) midfielder who played professionally in Europe and the United States. Career In 1993, Mladenov began his career with Lokomotiv Ruse before moving to Rakovski Ruse in 1994 and F.C. Etar in 1995. Mladenov left Bulgaria for Malta in 1996, signing with Nadur Youngsters F.C. He was the 1996-1997 Best Foreign Player as Nadur won the Gozo Football League First Division championship. Ian Fuller
Ian Fuller (born August 31, 1979) is a former American soccer player who currently serves as an assistant coach for Minnesota United FC. Career Youth and college Fuller grew up in Tualatin, Oregon, and attended Tualatin High School where he was a three-time first team All State soccer player. He then played college soccer at Clemson University from 1998 to 2001. Professional Fuller was drafted in the second round (21st overall) of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft by New England Revolution. He played eleven regular season and three playoff games before being waived on November 4, 2002. In February 2003, he signed with the Rochester Rhinos of the USL First Division. The Portland Timbers were an American professional soccer team based in Portland, Oregon, United States. Founded in 2001, the team played in various leagues at the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, including the USL First Division and the USSF Division 2 Professional League, until the end of the 2010 season. The Vancouver Whitecaps were a Canadian professional soccer club based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
