2002–03 Superliga Femenina
The 2002–03 Superliga season was the 15th edition since the competition's establishment and the second one since its unification. It was contested by twelve teams, and it ran from 6 October 2002 to 27 April 2003. Debuting team Athletic Bilbao won its first championship, while defending champion Levante UD was the runner-up tied at points with ''the lionesses'', and CF Puebla and CE Sabadell were 3rd and 4th respectively. CFF Estudiantes, AD Torrejón, RCD Espanyol and CF Oviedo Moderno also qualified for the 2003 Copa de la Reina. Like in the previous season, there were no relegations. CD Híspalis
Club Deportivo Híspalis is a Spanish football club from Seville founded in 1972. It is best known for its women's team, created in 1992, which currently plays in the Segunda División. History CD Híspalis was one of the eleven founding members of the reunified Superliga Femenina in 2002. For the first three seasons it ranked in the league's bottom half, but in 2004 it signed a collaboration with Sevilla FC to represent it in the Superliga, taking its name, crest and kit. Through this partnership it became one of the leading teams in the league, and in 2006 nearly won the championship; the team stood in the lead before the last round with a two-point advantage over RCD Espanyol, but drew 3–3 at defending champion Athletic Bilbao's ground and Espanyol won their match and claimed the league on goal difference. CE Sabadell (women)
CE Sabadell (femení) is the women's football team of CE Sabadell. It is the women's section of CE Sabadell. History CE Sabadell was one of the founding members of the Spanish league in 1988. Fifteen years later they won their first national title, the 2003 Copa de la Reina. The following season Sabadell were the runners-up in the league, and again reached the Copa's final, which this time they lost to Levante UD in the extra time. However, this golden era was short-lived and the team withdrew from the competition in 2005 after collapsing financially. Extremadura Unión Deportiva Femenino, formerly known as CF Puebla Extremadura and later as Extremadura Femenino CF, was a Spanish women football club from Almendralejo. History Extremadura Femenino was founded in Puebla de la Calzada, Badajoz in 1995 as Club de Fútbol Femenino Puebla. It won the national championship in 2000, beating AD Torrejón in the final, and it was the runner-up in 1999 in 2002, second to CD Oroquieta and Levante UD.
