2002–03 Divizia B
The 2002–03 Divizia B was the 63rd season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 16 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last two places from both series relegated to Divizia C. A promotion play-off was played between the 13th and 14th-placed in the Divizia A and the runners-up of the Divizia B series. Divizia B
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07. It is currently sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. FC Gloria Buzău (), commonly known as Gloria Buzău, is a Romanian association football club based in Buzău. The club currently plays in the Liga II. History Establishment FC Gloria Buzău was founded on 16 June 1973, by the Buzău County Local Council, as part of CSM Buzău (''Clubul Sportiv Municipal'') ( En: ''Municipal Sports Club''), the local all-sports association. Gloria absorbed the former team of Buzău, Metalul, whose place it also took in Divizia C (currently Liga III). Clubul Sportiv Municipal Roman, commonly known as CSM Roman, is a Romanian professional football team of the multi-sports club, CSM Roman from Roman, Neamț County, Romania. The team was founded in 1954 under the name of ''Laminorul Roman'' and was dissolved in 2018, due to poor results. The football section was re-founded in 2021 and enrolled in the Liga IV. ASA Târgu Mureș (1962)
ASA Târgu Mureș is a football club based in Târgu Mureș, Mureș County, Romania. It was founded in 1962, then in August 1964 merged with Mureşul Târgu Mureş, the descendant of Voinţa Târgu Mureș. Financially supported by Ministry of National Defence, ASA was considered a privileged club of the communist regime and an unofficially satellite of Steaua București. The ascension was fast and in short time, ASA became one of the most important teams in the country. After the Romanian Revolution "the militaries" started their decline and in 2005 the club went bankrupt. Between 2008 and 2018, the local authorities rebranded Transil Târgu Mureș in FCM Târgu Mureș, then ASA 2013 Târgu Mureș, but the new entity did not have the record of the old club. Club Sportiv Municipal Moinești, commonly known as CSM Moinești, or simply as Moinești, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Moinești, Bacău County, founded in 1948 under the name of ''Petrolul Moinești''. FCM Câmpina
FCM Câmpina was a Romanian football team from Poiana Câmpina, Prahova County founded in 1936 and dissolved in 2008. History The team was founded under the name ''Astra Câmpina'', which was a local factory that was sponsoring the team. Later the team changed its name to ''Poiana Câmpina''. Even though the team is now called FCM Câmpina (Municipal Football Club Câmpina), most of its fans still call the team "Poiana" or "Poieniţa", a diminutive. Tractorul Brașov was a football team from Brașov, Brașov County, Romania. History Tractorul Brașov was founded in 1927 under the name of IAR Brașov (Industria Aeronautică Română Brașov) (English: Romanian Aeronautic Industry Brașov). The 2002–03 Divizia C season was the 47th season of Liga III, Divizia C, the third tier of the Romanian football league system.
