''Big Brother Brasil'' (commonly abbreviated to ''BBB'') is the Brazilian version of the Big Brother reality franchised television show based on the original Dutch television series of the same name, that was created in 1997 by John de Mol. It is the second one with more finished seasons (only after the American version) and the only one with more than 20 years of uninterrupted annual transmission in the same channel. The show is based on a group of strangers, known as housemates, living together twenty-four hours a day in the "Big Brother" house, isolated from the outside world (primarily from mass media, such as newspapers, telephones, television and the internet) while having all their steps followed by cameras around-the-clock, with no privacy for three months. ''Big Brother Brasil 1'', known at the time only as ''Big Brother Brasil'' was the debut season of ''Big Brother Brasil'', the Brazilian version of the international reality show '' Big Brother'', which premiered on January 29, 2002 on Rede Globo. The show was produced by Endemol Globo and originally presented by journalist Pedro Bial and actress Marisa Orth. However, Orth left her hosting duties early in the series but continued making appearances in pre-taped segments. The prize award was R$500.000 without tax allowances, plus a R$30.000 prize offered to the runner-up and a R$20.000 prize offered to the housemate in third place. The winner was 24-year-old dancer Kleber de Paula, from Campinas, São Paulo. Overview There were twelve housemates competing for the grand prize. ''Big Brother Brasil 2'' was the second season of ''Big Brother Brasil'' which premiered May 14, 2002 on Rede Globo. The show was produced by Endemol Globo and presented by Pedro Bial. The season was officially confirmed since 2001 as part of the original contract between international Endemol and Rede Globo that provided seasons until 2008. The grand prize was R$500.000 without tax allowances, with a R$50.000 prize offered to the runner-up and a R$30.000 prize offered to the housemate in third place. Monica's Gang (TV Series)
''Monica and Friends'' (known as ''Turma da Mônica'' in Brazil, ''Mónica e Amigos'' in the European Portuguese dub and ''Monica's Gang'' in past translations) is a Brazilian series of cartoons based on the comic book ''Monica and Friends'' by Mauricio de Sousa. The series runs on Cartoon Network and previously on Globo, but in 2014, Globo stopped to air the series. Six DVDs with episodes of the series were released, distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment. Globo displayed the newest episodes of the DVDs. New episodes were released in nine ''Cine Gibi'' movies. New episodes are posted on the programme's official YouTube channel after they air on Cartoon Network. ''Malhação'' (, ''Young Hearts'' in English) is a Brazilian soap-opera that aired on TV Globo from 4 March 1995 to 3 April 2020. The series is targeted at a teenage audience. Each season runs for about a year with cast members changing every season. History The soap opera began in 1995, and was initially set in a fictional Gym Club called ''Malhação'' on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the setting varied each season. Cocoricó
Cocoricó is a Brazilian children's puppet show aired on TV Cultura, which premiered on the day April 10, 1996. The character Júlio was originally derived from a Christmas special that aired in 1989 called "Banho de Aventura" (Adventure Bath) on the program Rá-Tim-Bum. When Cocoricó debuted in the 90s, the program had a similar format to Glub Glub featuring short European animated series like Pingu and Fireman Sam interspersed with simple stories featuring the puppet characters, however some special episodes debuting new characters were made. The production of the show was done until 2001, when the production team started to work in Ilha Rá-Tim-Bum. With that Cocoricó had some reruns until 2003 received a soft reboot featuring new stories and without the cartoons.
