Svenska Cupen 2002 was the forty-seventh season of the main Swedish football Cup. The competition started on 1 April 2002 and concluded on 9 November 2002 with the final, held at Råsunda Stadium, Solna Municipality in Stockholms län. Djurgårdens IF won the final 1–0 against AIK. First round There were 34 matches played between 1 April and 16 April 2002. Djurgårdens IF Fotbollsförening – commonly known as Djurgårdens IF, Djurgården Fotboll (official name), Djurgården (), and (especially locally) Djurgår'n (), Dif or DIF – is the men's association football department of its parent association Djurgårdens IF. Founded 1891 on the island of Djurgården, the club's home ground is Tele2 Arena, situated in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm. Competing in the highest Swedish tier, Allsvenskan, the club has won the league twelve times and the cup five times. The league titles have mainly been won during three separate eras. Robertsfors IK
Robertsfors IK is a Swedish football club located in Robertsfors. The club, formed 1907, is currently playing in the fourth highest Swedish league, Division 2. Background Robertsfors IK was formed in 1907 and bore the name ''Robertsfors Gymnastik och Idrottsförening'' for a short time. In its early history the club specialised in gymnastics, athletics and football in the summer and skiing and ski jumping in the winter. In 1925 the club obtained the lease for Stantorsvallen where they still play. The club currently plays in Division 3 Mellersta Norrland, the fifth tier of Swedish football. Habo IF
Habo IF is a sports club in Habo in Sweden, established on 26 April 1926, now only playing association football. The men's bandy team, which has played in the Swedish second division, played the qualifying rounds for the Swedish top division three times during the 1940s. Högaborgs BK is a Swedish football club from Helsingborg that was founded in 1927. They currently play in the Swedish fourth division ( Division 2). Background The club was founded in the spring 1927 by Sven Damberg and Lars Flodin and a group of friends. During their first year they played in blue shirts and white shorts, but in 1928 they changed to their current colours. The newly formed club also laid out a sports ground at Viskans vall in eastern Högaborg but were forced to move out in 1937 because Helsingborg municipality wanted to use the site for housing. The club played at Tre Torns plan in Jönköpingsgatan until 1942 when Harlyckans Idrottsplats was completed and the club moved there. Harlyckan has been the club's home ever since. Kvarnsvedens IK is a Swedish football club located in Borlänge in Dalarna County. Background Football was first played in 1907 under the name Kvarnsvedens GOIF and this continued until 1935 when operations were shut down for financial reasons. A new club was started in 1936 called Övermora IS and from 1941 matches were played at Kvarnsvedens IP. The same year the name of the club was changed to Kvarnsvedens BK. However by 1946 the club had closed for financial reasons. Essinge IK is a Swedish football club located in Stockholm. Background Essinge Idrottsklubb is a sports club from Stockholm that was founded on 8 June 1919.
