Nimibutr Stadium
Nimibutr Stadium (sometimes referred to as Nimibutr Gymnasium) is an indoor sporting arena located in Bangkok, Thailand. The capacity of the arena is 5,600 spectators. It was built in 1963 and is part of the National Stadium complex. It is used for a variety of indoor sports such as badminton, handball, basketball, futsal, gymnastics and boxing. Sigit Budiarto
Sigit Budiarto (born 24 November 1975) is a male badminton player from Indonesia noted for his reflexes and deft handling of the racket. A men's doubles specialist, he won numerous international titles between 1995 and 2005, most of them in partnership with Candra Wijaya. He was a member of Indonesia's world champion Thomas Cup (men's international) teams of 1998, 2000 and 2002. Budiarto shared the World Men's Doubles title with Wijaya in 1997 and they were runners-up in this event in 2003 and 2005. They claimed the prestigious All-England Championship in 2003. Zhang Jun (badminton)
Zhang Jun (; born November 26, 1977 in Suzhou, Jiangsu) is a former male badminton player from the People's Republic of China. He is now a coach with the Chinese national team following his retirement from international play. Career As a doubles specialist, the solidly built Zhang Jun won several international men's doubles titles with compatriot Zhang Wei including the Swiss (1998), China (2001), and Thailand (2005) Opens. However, the majority of his titles, and the most prestigious ones, came in mixed doubles with the formidable Gao Ling. These included consecutive gold medals at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, earned by surviving a number of tight matches, particularly in 2000 when they were on the verge of elimination in the semifinals. Zhao Tingting (; born 28 November 1982) is a Chinese badminton player from Nantong, Jiangsu. Career A doubles specialist, Zhao has often been a "utility player" on China's national team, winning international tournaments with a variety of compatriots who typically partner someone else. Wei Yili (; born 24 June 1982) is a former badminton player from China. Career A women's doubles specialist, since 2001 Wei has competed on the world circuit in partnership with a variety of her fellow countrywomen, but most often with Zhang Jiewen, Zhao Tingting or Zhang Yawen. A member of China's perennial world champion Uber Cup teams, in the biggest events for individual players (such as the BWF World Championships, the All-England Championships, and the Olympic Games) Wei and her partners have usually been overshadowed by China's two dominant women's doubles pairs, Gao Ling and Huang Sui, and Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen. Captain Saralee Thungthongkam ( th, สราลีย์ ทุ่งทองคำ ผู้พัน หรือน.อ.ส้ม; ; born 13 June 1979) is a Thai retired badminton player. She graduated with a master's degree in Communication Arts from Bangkok University. Career Thungthongkam made her debut at the Olympic Games in 2000 Sydney. Huang Sui
Huang Sui (; born 8 January 1982) is a Chinese-Australian female badminton player. Career Although Huang has won the Chinese National mixed doubles title almost all of her many international titles have come in women's doubles with Gao Ling, in a partnership where Huang's strength and consistency in the backcourt have complemented Gao's ability in the forecourt. Career Noted for her consistency, anticipation, forecourt prowess, and sporting smile, Gao is one of the most successful doubles players in the history of women's badminton. Yang Wei (; born 13 January 1979) is a Chinese former badminton player who affiliate with Guangdong provincial team. Career A woman's doubles specialist, Yang has won some forty international titles, most of them in the sport's top tier events, since 1998. Career One of China's most successful women's doubles specialists, Zhang has won some thirty international titles, the vast majority of them in partnership with Yang Wei, during the first decade of the 21st century. They have shared world dominance almost equally with their compatriot adversaries Gao Ling and Huang Sui. Halim Haryanto Ho (born 23 September 1976) is an Indonesian former badminton player. He is a former world champion along with his doubles partner Tony Gunawan. Haryanto immigrated to the United States in 2004 to pursue a coaching career.
