Venezuelan Primera División
The Primera División (; en, First Division), or Liga Venezolana (; en, Venezuelan League) is the top-flight professional football league of Venezuela. It was created in 1921 and turned professional in 1957. It is organized by the Federación Venezolana de Fútbol. Format Starting in the 2020 season, the 20 teams play in a home-and-away round-robin tournament, with the top eight teams advancing to the semi-final stage. In the semi-final stage, the eight teams are divided in two groups of four teams each, facing the other teams in their group twice. The two group winners will advance to the Serie Final to decide the league champions. Caracas FC
Caracas Fútbol Club is a Venezuelan football team based in Caracas. The club has won twelve First Division titles making it the most successful in Venezuelan football history. They are nicknamed ''Los Rojos del Ávila'', or the "Reds from Ávila". This refers to their red jerseys as well as Cerro El Ávila, a mountain near Caracas. History Early Years Caracas FC was founded in 1967 under a group of friends led by José Berascasa and Jorge Cubeddu with the name Yamaha FC. The team was entered as an amateur team to the Football Federation of the State of Miranda. The purpose of the club was to allow for Berascasa and his friends to have somewhere to enjoy their free time. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. Deportivo Galicia
Deportivo Galicia Fútbol Club (later Galicia de Aragua) was a traditional football club from Venezuela. Founded in Caracas, the club moved, in 2002, to Maracay, in the state of Aragua, when its name changed to Galicia de Aragua, playing their home games at the Giuseppe Antonelli stadium in Maracay. Coached by the Uruguayan national Carlos MarÍa Ravel, the team switched from their traditional blue and white colours to the state's yellow and red and changed their name to Galicia de Aragua. At the end of the 2001–02 season, Deportivo Galicia was relegated to the Venezuelan Segunda Division. In January 2002 they became a separate entity Aragua F.C. when they moved to Estadio Olímpico Hermanos Ghersi Páez. Portuguesa Fútbol Club, usually known simply as Portuguesa, is a Venezuelan football (soccer), football club based in Acarigua. Trujillanos FC
Trujillanos Fútbol Club is a Venezuelan football team playing at the top level, the Primera División Venezolana. It is based in Valera. Their home stadium is Estadio Luis Loreto Lira.
