2001–02 Michigan State Spartans Men's Basketball Team
The 2001–02 Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team represented Michigan State University in the 2001–02 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were coached by Tom Izzo in his seventh season. The Spartans played their home games at Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan and were members of the Big Ten Conference. Brian Francis Gregory (born December 15, 1966) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head men's basketball coach at South Florida Bulls men's basketball, South Florida. He was previously serving as a consultant to Tom Izzo at Michigan State Spartans men's basketball, Michigan State after being let go as head coach with Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball, Georgia Tech. Prior to coaching at Georgia Tech, he was the head coach at Dayton Flyers, Dayton and an assistant coach under Izzo at Michigan State. Charlie Will Bell III (born March 12, 1979) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of Flint United of The Basketball League (TBL). He played college basketball for Michigan State, and then played parts of 8 seasons in the NBA. He also served as an assistant coach for the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League. and as an assistant coach for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. The Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represents Stanford University in Stanford, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Pac-12 Conference. Christopher Joseph Vogel Hill (born February 21, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player. He has played in the Ligue Nationale de Basketball, Turkish Basketball League and Basketball League Belgium. He played college basketball for the NCAA Division I Michigan State where he twice led the Big Ten Conference in three point shots made and set the current Big Ten single-game three point shots made record.
