2001 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship
The 2001 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of Ireland's premier hurling knock-out competition. Tipperary won the championship, beating Galway 2-18 to 2-15 in the final at Croke Park, Dublin. Calendar Format The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was run on a provincial basis as usual. All games were played on a knockout basis whereby once a team lost they were eliminated from the championship. The format for the All-Ireland series of games ran as follows: * The winners of the Munster Championship advanced directly to one of the All-Ireland semi-finals. * The winners of the Leinster Championship advanced directly to the second All-Ireland semi-final. * The winners of the Ulster Championship advanced directly to one of the All-Ireland quarter-finals where they were drawn to play Galway. Color (American English) or colour (British English) is the visual perceptual property deriving from the spectrum of light interacting with the photoreceptor cells of the eyes.
