The 2001 Mnet Music Video Festival (MMF) was the third of the annual music awards in Seoul, South Korea that took place on November 23, 2001, at the Little Angels Arts Center. The Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Music Video () is an award presented annually by CJ E&M (Mnet) at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. The event was launched in 1999 as the Mnet Video Music Awards and was primarily a music video-centered awards ceremony, modeled after the MTV Video Music Awards. From its inaugural ceremony up until the 2005 awards, the category was officially titled Music Video of the Year and consisted of one of the two ''daesang'' (or most prestigious) prizes, alongside the Most Popular Music Video category. In 2006, the event underwent an overhaul; the ''daesang'' status of the category was removed, and it was retitled as "Best Music Video". Sharp (South Korean Band)
Sharp (stylized as S#arp; ) were a South Korean co-ed pop vocal group that was active from 1998 to 2002. The group initially consisted of Lee Ji-hye, Seo Ji-young, Jang Seok-hyun, John Kim and Oh Hee-jong. John and Hee-jong left the group after the release of the group's first album, ''The S#arp'', in 1998. New members Sori and Chris joined the group in 1999 for the second album, ''The S#arp+2''. Sori later left the group, and Sharp went on to release the albums, ''The Four Letter World Love'' (2000), ''4ever Feel So Good'' (2001), ''Flat Album'' (2001), and ''Style'' (2002). The group disbanded in 2002, reportedly as a result of ongoing conflict between Ji-hye and Ji-young, including verbal and physical assault. Roo'ra (Hangul: 룰라) was a co-ed hip hop and dance-pop vocal group from South Korea who was one of the country's most popular musical acts of the 1990s. Koyote (), also known as KYT is a South Korean co-ed vocal group consisting of members Kim Jong-min, Shin Ji, and Bbaek Ga. Lee Kyung-eun (born February 17, 1975), better known by her stage name Harisu (Hangul: 하리수; Hanja: 河莉秀), is a Korean pop singer, model, and actress.
