Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation ( NORCECA). Since its introduction in 1969 the tournaments have been awarded every two years. The competition has been dominated by Cuba and United States, which won together 25 of the 27 editions of the tournament. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. The team may touch the ball up to three times to return the ball to the other side of the court, but individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively. ...

Ángel Dennis Diaz (born 13 June 1977) is a Cuban-born Italian volleyball player. Biography He played for IVECO Palermo from 1998 to 2000. With Cuba national team, he won a World League in 1998 and an America's Cup in 2001, before abandoning his country to move to establish himself in Italy in the latter year. After a period of inactivity, he returned to play in 2003-2004 for Latina Volley, before moving to Lube Banca Marche Macerata the following year, after a short stint in Qatar. With Lube he won a top national division and an Italian Supercup in 2006, and two CEV Cups (2005–2006). Elvis Dalsires Contreras de los Santos (born 20 July 1979, in Tamayo), also known as Elvis Contreras, is a male volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won the silver medal with the Dominican Republic men's national volleyball team at the 2006 Pan-American Cup in Mexicali, Mexico. Career Contreras won the Best Spiker award at the 2001 NORCECA Championship, and Best Scorer at the 2005 version. At the 2007 NORCECA Championship, Contreras was awarded Best Receiver, and his national team finished in 5th place. Contreras won the Dominican Republic "2007 Volleyball Player of the Year". Richard Lambourne
Richard Edward "Rich" Lambourne (born May 6, 1975) is an American indoor volleyball player. He joined the U.S. men's national team in 2000 as the designated libero. He has recently played for Delecta Bydgoszcz. Lambourne made his Olympic debut at the 2008 Olympics, helping Team USA to a gold medal. High school and personal life Lambourne was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to Paul and Ann Lambourne. He grew up in Tustin, California, and attended Foothill High School. Lambourne was badly injured during a bike accident when he was 6. He skinned his shoulder to the bone and mangled the right side of his face. He says of the accident, "I could have been much uglier but due to my loving parents and medical science, I am only mostly unattractive".
