The 2001 season was the Jacksonville Jaguars' 7th in the National Football League and their seventh under head coach Tom Coughlin. This was the debut year where the Jaguars wore black shoes to their uniforms. The team from then as of 2019 still wears the black shoes with the updated uniforms introduced in 2018. AFC Central
The American Football Conference – Northern Division or AFC North is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The division was adopted after the restructuring of the 2002 NFL season, when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. This is the only division in the NFL in which no member team has hosted a Super Bowl in their stadiums. Formation The AFC North currently has four members: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers. James Boyd (American Football)
James Aaron Boyd (born October 17, 1977) is a former defensive back for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. He attended Indian River High School (Chesapeake, Virginia), Indian River High School in Chesapeake, and as quarterback, guided the team to a state football championship in 1995. College career Boyd played free safety at Penn State Nittany Lions football, Penn State. In 2000, he was one of 12 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the best defensive back in college football. Professional career James was selected in the 3rd round (94th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He wore #42. In his rookie season (2001–02), he played in 16 games, assisting on 3 tackles and making 6 of his own. In 2002, he deflected two passes and made five solo tackles in ten games. Randy Robert Chevrier (born June 6, 1976) is a Canadian football long snapper for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also played for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He also was a member of the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League. Marlon Tarron McCree (born March 17, 1977) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kentucky. McCree also played for the Houston Texans, Carolina Panthers, San Diego Chargers, and Denver Broncos. He served as an assistant defensive backs coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012. Anthony Ray Denman (born October 30, 1979) is a former American football linebacker who played two seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills. The 2000 Washington Huskies football team represented the University of Washington in the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Huskies were led by second-year head coach Rick Neuheisel and played their home games on campus in Seattle at Husky Stadium. Washington lost only once, on the road at Oregon, and won the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day to finish with an 11–1 record. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking.
