2000–01 Ukrainian Second League
The 2000–01 Ukrainian Second League was the tenth season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competitions were divided into three groups according to geographical location in the country – A is western Ukraine, B is southern Ukraine and Crimea, and C is eastern Ukraine. The groups were won respectively by FC Polissya Zhytomyr, FC Obolon Kyiv and FC Naftovyk Okhtyrka. FC Illichivets-2 Mariupol
Illichivets-2 Mariupol is a defunct Ukrainian football team. It was the reserve team of the Ukrainian First League club FC Illichivets Mariupol. The club competed in the Druha Liha football competition of Ukraine. History When the Ukrainian Premier League created the Ukrainian Premier Reserve League there was an incentive for clubs to field their reserve clubs in the competition. Illichivets Mariupol still remain to field Illichivets-2 as their third team (juniors). However, after the complete of the 2011-12 Ukrainian Second League the club removed junior team and enter the newly formed Ukrainian Premier League Under-19 competition. The senior club was relegated from the Premier League in 2015 but still remain committed to the juniors school system. FC Karpaty-3 Lviv
FC Karpaty-3 Lviv was a Ukrainian football farm-team of Karpaty Lviv from Lviv, Ukraine. Created in 1997, until 2001 it played as ''Karpaty-2 Lviv''. Name evolution In 2001 due to the merger between FC Karpaty Lviv and FC Lviv, Karpaty preserved the place of FC Lviv in the First League and transformed the former FC Lviv into the new Karpaty-2. The other Karpaty-2 Lviv that competed in the Second League was renamed to Karpaty-3. In 2003 Karpaty-3 Lviv was renamed into Karpaty-Halychyna Lviv, coincidentally FC Halychyna Drohobych relegated that year from the professional ranks. FC Dynamo-3 Kyiv
FC Dynamo-3 Kyiv was a Ukrainian football team based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The team has been featured in the Ukrainian Second League, since it cannot be promoted to the Ukrainian First League, being a junior team from the FC Dynamo Kyiv franchise, which already has its 2nd tier team (FC Dynamo-2 Kyiv) in the First League. History Like most tributary teams, the best players are sent up to the senior team, meanwhile developing other junior players for further call-ups. The team consists of Dynamo's players whose average age is less than 20—In essence the club's future. The players usually progress to this team through the Dynamo Kyiv youth system. FC Enerhetyk Burshtyn
FC Enerhetyk Burshtyn was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. History The club was formed in 1948 and was previously called ''Kolhospnyk'' (Collective] farmer), ''Avanhard'' (Vanguard) and ''Henerator'' (Generator). The club played in the Ivano-Frankivs'k oblast league and in the 1990s and after steadily improving they won the Oblast Championship in 1998. They also entered the Ukrainian Football Amateur Association, Ukrainian Amateur Championships and were undefeated champions in that season. The club was granted entry into the Ukrainian Professional Leagues in the next season (1998–99) in the Ukrainian Second League. FC Hazovyk-Skala Stryi
FC Skala 1911 Stryi was a Ukrainian football team. The team is based in Stryi, Ukraine. History Over the years there were several clubs connected with Skala Stryi starting from 1911. Club of Austria-Hungary and Poland The first recorded match in Stryi was at times of Austria-Hungary, so called Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria on 29 June 1906 when a team of Stryj gymnasium (high school) lost to a team from Lemberg (Lviv). It was renamed as ''Hazovyk-Khurtovyna'' adding a name of the former Ukrainian club that existed in Komarno prior to the Soviet invasion of Halychyna in 1939. FC Kalush
FC Kalush ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Калуш») was a Ukrainian professional football club from Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. History The club was founded soon after World War II as Khimik Kalush and in the Soviet competitions competed at regional level and KFK (amateur level). The club was reestablished in place of previously existed Polish club at the chemical plant TESP that also was overtaken by Soviets. Khimik Kalush also was associated with the Soviet chemical and metallurgical association "Khlorvinil" that was expanded in 1961. At KFK level the club competed until 1995, when as Khimik entered the Druha Liha. Its main sponsor "Khlorvinil" was reorganized as a state enterprise "Oriana". Narodnyy Klub Veres Rivne ( uk, РНК «Верес») is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Rivne. The club competes in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top tier of Ukrainian football, after winning the 2020–21 Ukrainian First League. Their home stadium until 2017 was Avanhard Stadium. As it is under reconstruction, they currently play home matches at Avanhard Stadium in Lutsk. FC Mykolaiv is a football club based in Mykolaiv, Lvivska Oblast, Ukraine. Overview The club was originally called Tsementnyk-Khorda Mykolaiv and was supported by the cement factory in the town. ''Tsementnyk-Khorda'' performed well at the Amateur Level in the 1996/97 season and finished Runners up in the competition. FC Chornomorets-2 Odesa is former football team that was the reserve team of the FC Chornomorets Odesa. It was created out of the ''Chornomorets'' reserves team that competed in the Soviet competition in 1992. It was dissolved in 2020. History The team was allowed to enter the professional level competition and participate in the First League. In its short history, it performed under par and was taken out of the professional level competitions by 1995. In 1999, it was reformed on the base of the defunct SC Odesa. 1989 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR was the 59th season of association football competition of the Ukrainian SSR, which was part of the Soviet Second League. The Soviet Second League was split after the season and all national (republican) competitions were placed at the lower league (4th division), while the upper league (3rd division) was transformed into a buffer league. The 1989 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR was won for the first time by FC Volyn Lutsk. In the competition Volyn passed the 1988 Football Champion of Ukrainian SSR, FC Bukovyna Chernivtsi. Like the last season Bukovyna, Volyn also failed to earn promotion to the First League as it lost the inter-zonal playoffs.
