2000–01 Sunshine Tour
The 2000–01 Sunshine Tour, titled as the 2000–01 Vodacom Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the first season of professional golf tournaments since the southern Africa based Sunshine Tour was rebranded. Previously it had been known as the Southern Africa Tour. The Sunshine Tour represents the highest level of competition for male professional golfers in the region. In its first year, the prize money was over 20% lower than the amount awarded the last year of the Africa Tour ( R13.6 Million in 2000–01 vs. R17.5 Million in 1999–2000). There were 22 official events on the schedule. This was an increase of five from the last year of the Southern Africa tour, with a significant change in the list of tournaments. Mark McNulty
Mark William McNulty (born 24 March 1953) is a Zimbabwean-Irish professional golfer. He was one of the leading players on the European Tour from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, and featured in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking for 83 weeks from 1987 to 1992. Early life McNulty was born in Bindura, Southern Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe). He was raised on a farm in the Centenary area of Zimbabwe. When McNulty was one year old, his natural father was killed in a shooting accident. His step-father was an amateur pilot who had an airstrip on the farm. When his step-father was diagnosed with epilepsy, he was forced to give up flying. He converted the airstrip into a three-hole golf course, where Mark first learned to play golf. Titch Moore
Trevor Richard "Titch" Moore (born 18 February 1976) is a South African professional golfer. He currently plays on the Sunshine Tour, where he has won seven times between 2000 and 2007. Moore was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He turned pro in 1997 and joined the Sunshine Tour in that same year. His best finish on the Order of Merit for the Sunshine Tour came in the 2004–05 season where he finished 4th. He has also played on the European Tour, and the second tier Challenge Tour, where he won the Skandia PGA Open in 2003. Emfuleni Classic
The Emfuleni Local Municipality, founded in 1999, is one of three local municipalities comprising the Sedibeng District in Gauteng, South Africa. It is the westernmost local municipality in the District, and covers an area of 987 km² at the heart of the Vaal Triangle. It is located in the former industrial heartland of Gauteng which created employment and wealth for Sebokeng, Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging and Sharpeville. The Eastern Cape ( xh, iMpuma-Kapa; af, Oos-Kaap ) is one of the nine provinces of South Africa. Its capital is Bhisho, but its two largest cities are East London and Gqeberha. Marc Cayeux
Marc Elton Cayeux (born 22 February 1978) is a Zimbabwean professional golfer. His father is South African, and his mother English. He was born in Lancaster, England and raised in Zimbabwe, leaving school at 14 to pursue a career in golf. He is a Zimbabwean/British dual national, but plays golf as a Zimbabwean. Cayeux finished fourth on the Challenge Tour in 2004, to gain exemption to the full European Tour for 2005. That year he finished 82nd on the Order of Merit, with a best of third in the Scandinavian Masters by Carlsberg. He also won the Vodacom Tour Championship on the Sunshine Tour, on his way to fifth in the end of season standings.
