	2000–01 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (men's Handball) The 2000–01 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 99th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''Borsodi Liga'' for sponsoring reasons since April 2001. The season started on 22 July 2000 and ended on 23 June 2001. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. At the end of the season, the top team enters the qualification for the UEFA Champions League, while the runner-up and the third place, together with the winner of the Magyar Kupa enter the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification rounds.
