2000–01 Idaho Vandals Men's Basketball Team
The 2000–01 Idaho Vandals men's basketball team represented the University of Idaho during the 2000–01 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Members of the Big West Conference, the Vandals were led by fourth-year head coach David Farrar and played their home games on campus at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals were overall and in conference play, in a three-way tie for seventh (last). They lost the tiebreaker for the final berth in the conference tournament to Cal Poly. Idaho had qualified for the tourney in the previous three seasons, but was the sole team not to participate this year. The 2000–01 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represented Iowa State University during the 2000–01 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Leonard Perry
Leonard Perry Jr. (born June 13, 1968) is an American college basketball coach, currently head coach at the University of the Pacific. Originally from Dallas, Perry played college basketball at McLennan Community College and the University of Idaho. As a senior at Idaho playing under head coach Larry Eustachy, Perry was the starting point guard on the 1991 Big Sky Conference Tournament championship team that appeared in the 1991 NCAA Tournament. Perry has been a college basketball coach since 1995, as an assistant under Eustachy at Idaho, Utah State, Iowa State, Southern Miss, and Colorado State. From 2001 to 2006, Perry was head coach at Idaho. Michael Robert Bohn (born November 16, 1960) is the athletic director at the University of Southern California. He was hired on November 11, 2019, following the resignation of Lynn Swann. He previously held the same position at the University of Cincinnati, University of Colorado, San Diego State University, and the University of Idaho. Born in Hinsdale, Illinois, Bohn's family moved to Boulder, Colorado, when he was a year old; he was a three-sport athlete at Boulder High School and graduated in 1979. The Cal Poly Mustangs men's basketball team represents California Polytechnic State University, located in San Luis Obispo, California. The school's team currently competes in the Big West Conference. The Cal Poly men's basketball team's first season was 1907 and its first season as a four-year institution was 1941–42. The William H. Kibbie-ASUI Activity Center (commonly known as the Kibbie Dome) is a multi-purpose indoor athletic stadium in the northwest United States, on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. It is the home of the Idaho Vandals of the Big Sky Conference for four sports (football, tennis, indoor track and field, soccer). Basketball was played in the venue until the autumn 2021 opening of the adjacent Idaho Central Credit Union Arena (ICCU Arena).
