2000–01 Austrian Cup
The 2000–01 Austrian Cup (german: ÖFB-Cup) was the 67th season of Austria's nationwide football cup competition. It commenced with the matches of the First Round in August 2000 and concluded with the Final on 27 May 2001. The competition was won by FC Kärnten after beating Tirol Innsbruck 2–1 after extra time and hence qualifying for the 2001–02 UEFA Cup The 2001–02 UEFA Cup was won by Feyenoord at their home ground in the final against Borussia Dortmund. FC Kärnten
FC Kärnten was an Austrian association football club based in Klagenfurt, Carinthia. It was founded in 1920 under the name of KSK Klagenfurt. History Austria Klagenfurt Austria Klagenfurt played successfully in the ''Kärntner Liga'' and in 1960 were promoted to the Austrian Regional League Central where they won the 1961–62 championship. Then a member of the Austrian Football Bundesliga ''(Liga A)'', they intermittently stayed in first league until their final relegation in 1989. In the 1992–93 season, the club found itself back in the ''Kärntner Liga''. SC Schwanenstadt
SC Schwanenstadt was an Austrian football club from Schwanenstadt, Upper Austria. The club was founded on 16 March 1946, it achieved promotion to the Landeliga (IV) in 2000 and to the Regionalliga Mitte one year later, where in 2005 they won the championship and continued their way up to First League. They finished the 2007/2008 season in 7th place, whereafter they were disbanded and their playing licence was taken over by newly formed FC Magna Wiener Neustadt, who also took over the majority of the playing squad. Salzburger AK 1914 is a football club based in the city of Salzburg, Austria who currently plays in the 3rd tier Regionalliga Salzburg. It was founded in 1914 and is the oldest football club from that city. History The club was formed by pupils from a nearby school. In 1914 the club was officially formed and played their first match against FC Traunstein. The first match was lost by 1:4. Nevertheless before the Second World War the SAK 1914 was the most successful football club in Salzburg. 1934, 1935 and 1937 they reached the final of the Austrian amateur championship. Eduard Kainberger, Karl Kainberger, Ernst Bacher and Adolf Laudon, the players of SAK, were part of the 1936 Olympic squad, where runners-up Austria won the Silver medal.
