The Pac-12 Conference is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference, that operates in the Western United States, participating in 24 sports at the NCAA Division I level. 2000 Boise State Broncos Football Team
The 2000 Boise State Broncos football team represented Boise State University in the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Broncos competed in the Big West Conference and played their home games at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho. The Broncos were led by third-year head coach Dirk Koetter. The Broncos finished the season 10–2 and 5–0 in conference to win their second consecutive Big West title. 2000 was the Broncos' final year in the Big West (a conference that ceased to sponsor football after this season) as they joined the Western Athletic Conference in 2001. At the end of the regular season, head coach Dirk Koetter resigned to take the same position at Arizona State but did stay on to coach in the Broncos' bowl game. The Apple Cup is an American college football rivalry game between the University of Washington Huskies and Washington State University Cougars, the two largest universities in the state of Washington. The 2000 Washington Huskies football team represented the University of Washington in the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Huskies were led by second-year head coach Rick Neuheisel and played their home games on campus in Seattle at Husky Stadium. Washington lost only once, on the road at Oregon, and won the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day to finish with an 11–1 record. The 2000 USC Trojans football team represented the University of Southern California (USC) in the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their third and final year under head coach Paul Hackett, the Trojans compiled a 5-7 record (2–6 against conference opponents), finished in a three-way tie for last place in the Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10), and were outscored by their opponents by a combined total of 337 to 309. Reser Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium in the northwest United States, on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. It is the home of the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 Conference, and opened in 1953 as Parker Stadium. It was renamed in 1999. The 2000 season was arguably the greatest season in OSU's football history.
