The 2000 Uzbek League season was the 9th edition of top level football in Uzbekistan since independence from the Soviet Union in 1992. Uzbekistan Super League ( uz, O'zbekiston Superligasi), also called Coca-Cola Uzbekistan Super League due to sponsorship reasons ( uz, Coca-Cola O'zbekiston Superligasi / Coca-Cola Ўзбекистон Суперлигаси), is the top division of professional football in Uzbekistan. It is operated under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League and Uzbekistan Football Association. It was founded in 1992 and currently played with 14 teams. Zarafshon Navoi
Zarafshon ( uz, Zarafshon / Зарафшон, fa, زرافشان) is a city in the center of Uzbekistan's Navoiy Region. Administratively, it is a district-level city, that includes the urban-type settlement Muruntau. It has an area of and it has 85,100 inhabitants (2021). Located in the Kyzylkum desert, it receives water from the Amudarya by a 220-km pipeline. FC Aral Nokis ( kk, Арал Нөкис футбол клубы) is Uzbekistani football club based in Nukus. Currently it plays in Uzbekistan First League. History Before joining Uzbek League in 1992, ''Amudarya Nukus'' played in Soviet Second League, regional zones in 1976–1984. In 1991 club was renamed to ''Aral Nukus''. PFK Metallurg Bekabad ( uz, "Metallurg Bekobod") is an Uzbek football club based in Bekabad. They play in the Uzbekistan Super League. History The club was founded in 1945. Metallurg played in one of the regional zones of Soviet Second League until 1992. Since 1992 club played in Uzbekistan First League. From 1992 to 1993 club was named ''Madanchi''.
