2000 UNCAF Interclub Cup
The 2000 UNCAF Interclub Cup was the 18th edition of the UNCAF Interclub Cup, Central American Club Championship, and the second under the name ''UNCAF Interclub Cup''. The tournament was organized by Central American Football Union, UNCAF, the football regional body in Central America. Honduran club Club Deportivo Olimpia, Olimpia won the final round to obtain their third tournament in team's history. Club Deportivo Olimpia
Club Deportivo Olimpia is a professional Honduran football club based in Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán. The club is the nation's most successful team both in the domestic league and in international club competitions. History Olimpia was founded as a baseball club on June 12, 1912, by Héctor Pineda Ugarte, Carlos Bram, Arturo Bram, Enrique Buik, Santiago Buik, Miguel Sanchez, Samuel Inestrosa Gómez, and Ramón Field. In 1917, it also became a football team. C.D. Estadio Cuscatlán
The Estadio Cuscatlán is a football stadium located in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. It was inaugurated in 1976. It can hold 53,400 spectators, making it the stadium with the largest spectator capacity in Central America and the Caribbean. Denilson Costa
Denilson Costa (born 10 June 1968) is a Brazilian and naturalized Honduran football coach and former player. He is currently the second all-time top scorer in the Honduran Liga Nacional and was also the first to reach 150 goals. Now he is a teacher in Honduras. Costa along with Marcelo Ferreira are among the only naturalized Honduran nationals to have played for the Honduras national football team. Club career Born in Brazil, Denilson moved to Honduras in 1991 and made his league debut in September 1991 for Olimpia against Súper Estrella, scoring the only goal of the game. Fabio Renán Ulloa Castillo (born 20 August 1976) is a Honduran footballer. Club career Ulloa has played professionally for Olimpia, and has won seven national championships. Juan Carlos Plata (born 1 January 1971) is a Guatemalan soccer coach and retired football striker. He is the highest-scoring player in the history of Guatemala's top division. The Estadio Nacional Doroteo Guamuch Flores is a multi-use national stadium in Guatemala City, the largest venue in Guatemala. The Estadio Olímpico Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez, named after the Panamanian football star Rommel Fernández (1966–1993), is a multi-purpose stadium in Panama City.
