Nicki Pedersen
Nicki Pedersen (born 2 April 1977) is a Danish motorcycle speedway rider. He has won the World Championship in 2003, 2007 and 2008 and was a World Cup winner with Denmark in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. His brother, Ronni Pedersen, has also ridden in the Speedway Grand Prix and World Cup. Career Domestic teams Pedersen began speedway racing aged 11 at Danish club Fjelsted. He started his Polish speedway career in 1999 with Polish second division club Start Gniezno and has since ridden for GTŻ Grudziądz, Wybrzeże Gdańsk, ZKŻ Zielona Góra and ŻKS ROW Rybnik. Martin Robert Dugard (born 18 May 1969 in Worthing,Oakes, P & Rising, P (1986). ''1986 Speedway Yearbook''. West Sussex) is a former English international motorcycle speedway rider who spent much of his career with the Eastbourne Eagles. He also rode for the Oxford Cheetahs and Dackarna in Sweden Martin began riding for Eastbourne as a 16-year-old and was one of the brightest prospects in the National league. He moved into the British league with Oxford Cheetahs and soon became a heat leader for the Cheetahs and an England international. He was British Under-21 Champion in 1989 and he made his world final debut a year later at Bradford's Odsal stadium, scoring 6 points. He was part of the Oxford title winning team in 1989. Piotr Protasiewicz (born 25 January 1975 in Zielona Góra, Poland) is a Polish international speedway rider. Career He has ridden for the Polish national team in the Speedway World Cup in 1996 and 2005. He was also World U-21 Champion in 1996. In October 1997, during the Speedway Grand Prix Qualification he won the GP Challenge, which ensured that he claimed a permanent slot for the 1998 Grand Prix. Brian Karger (born 9 February 1967, in Horsens, Denmark) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider. He was a member of the Denmark speedway team when they won the 1991 and 1995 World Team Cup Finals. He also qualified for the 1992 World Final in Wrocław, Poland where he finished 16th (last) with 4pts scored, including a win in his final race. He rode in the United Kingdom for the Swindon Robins, Arena Essex Hammers and also for the Belle Vue Aces. He rode in Sweden and won the Swedish Elitserien in 1988 with Bysarna. Brian Andersen (born 13 March 1971) is a Danish former international motorcycle speedway rider. Career Andersen reached the final of the Under-21 World Championship in 1990 and then won the event the following year to become the 1991 Junior World Champion The success brought him to the attention of British leagues and Coventry Bees signed him for the 1992 British League season. He drove up his average over the following seasons for Coventry and established himself as one of their leading riders. In 1995, he won the Individual Speedway Danish Championship. In 1996, he finished second in the 1996 Intercontinental Final, which qualified him for his first Speedway Grand Prix series. Karl Mikael Karlsson (born 21 August 1973), who rides under the name Mikael Max, is an international motorcycle speedway rider who rode in the UK for the Wolverhampton Wolves in the Elite League. Christopher Louis (born 9 July 1969) is an English international speedway motorcycle rider who rode for the Ipswich Witches and Hackney Kestrels. He is the son of former Great Britain International John Louis. Career Louis is former schoolboy grasstrack champion. He started his professional career at Hackney before moving to Ipswich in 1989 where he rode to the end of his riding career. He has missed a couple of seasons due to injury. Chris Louis made history in 1993 when he became the first son of a former World Finalist to also qualify for the World Final when he finished in third place in Pocking, Germany.
