2000 MLS SuperDraft
The 2000 Major League Soccer SuperDraft was held on February 6, 2000 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and consisted of six rounds. One of the most successful draft picks was goalkeeper Nick Rimando, a third round pick, who went on to hold the record for most MLS career shutouts. Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale () is a coastal city located in the U.S. state of Florida, north of Miami along the Atlantic Ocean. Andrew Williams (born 23 September 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian- Jamaican retired footballer who last played as a midfielder for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Aleksey Korol
Oleksiy Korol ( uk, Олексій Король; born 14 October 1977) is a Ukrainian soccer forward and coach who has spent most of his career in the United States. Player Born in Kyiv, Korol played both hockey and soccer growing up in Ukraine. As a youth player, he signed with Dynamo Kyiv. His family sent him to the United States when he was 14 where he settled in Livonia, New York. Mario Gori
Mario Gori (born June 1, 1973, in Rosario) is an Argentine football (soccer) midfielder who played professionally in Argentina and Major League Soccer. In 1993, Gori joined Rosario Central. On March 4, 1996, D.C. United selected Gori in the first round (eighth overall) of the 1996 MLS Supplemental Draft. Gori spent three seasons in D.C., winning the 1996 and 1997 MLS Cup and the 1998 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Ryan Tinsley (born October 1, 1971) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played professionally in the Continental Indoor Soccer League and Major League Soccer. Adin Brown
Adin Brown (born May 27, 1978) is an American soccer coach and former player. He is currently the goalkeeping coach for Chicago Fire FC in Major League Soccer. Youth and High School Born in Pleasant Hill, California, Brown attended De La Salle High School in Concord, California. He started for the 1996 soccer team which is now in the Hall of Fame at De La Salle. John Harkes
John Andrew Harkes (born March 8, 1967) is an American soccer coach and former professional player who is the head coach of Greenville Triumph SC. A member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame, Harkes was the first American ever to play in the English Premier League with Sheffield Wednesday, the second American to score at Wembley Stadium, and the first American soccer player to appear in the final of a major English tournament, in the 1991 Football League Cup Final with Sheffield Wednesday. After moving to Major League Soccer in 1996, he won two MLS Cup titles with D.C. United. John Maessner (born June 2, 1969 in Hackensack, New Jersey) who spent six seasons in Major League Soccer, two in France, two in USISL, two in the National Professional Soccer League and one in Germany.
