2000 CONMEBOL Men Pre-Olympic Tournament
The 2000 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament began on 19 January 2000 and was the 11th CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament. This was the 3rd tournament open to players under the age of 23 without any other restriction. There was no qualification stage and all 10 members of CONMEBOL automatically qualified. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira (born 21 March 1980), commonly known as Ronaldinho Gaúcho () or simply Ronaldinho, is a Brazilian retired professional footballer who played mostly as an attacking midfielder, but was also deployed as a winger. Héctor Santiago Tapia Urdile (born 30 September 1977), also known as Tito Tapia, is a Chilean football manager and former player who played as a forward. Career Tapia has played for Colo Colo, Universidad Católica, Palestino and Unión Española in Chile, Cruzeiro in Brazil, Lille OSC in France, Perugia in Italy and FC Thun in Switzerland. Jorge Alberto Rojas Méndez (born January 10, 1977 in Mérida) is a Venezuelan former footballer. Career Club After playing for several small clubs in Venezuela, Rojas began to establish himself as one of the nations top players while at Caracas FC. Following his successful first stint at Caracas, which included two league titles, he joined Ecuadorean power Emelec in 2003. That season, he was selected as the top foreign player in the league. Rojas than briefly returned to Caracas before joining Colombian club Atlético Nacional. Walter Orlando Ayoví Corozo (; born 11 August 1979) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays for the Monterrey Flash in the Major Arena Soccer League. Lucas Severino (born 3 January 1979), commonly known as Lucas, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Julio Brian Gutiérrez González (born September 14, 1979) is a retired Chilean football player. He also spent much time playing in Italy from 2000 to 2005. In 2006, Gutiérrez returned to his first club in Chile, Unión Española. His ability led to signing with Universidad Católica and being called up to the national team. Club career Gutiérrez began his career with Unión Española, who sold his contract to Italian side Udinese in 2001.
