''25 Years – The Chain'' is a box set by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac originally released on 24 November 1992. The set contains four CDs, covering the history of the band from its formation in 1967 to 1992. The set features several previously unreleased studio tracks, new mixes, live recordings, and a slightly different mix of their 1979 international hit single, "Tusk", and a previously unreleased alternate take of the 1987 track, "Isn't It Midnight". The extended version of Stevie Nicks' "Gypsy" was also included for the first time on a commercial release, and this collection also marked the first time Nicks' " Silver Springs" had appeared on a full-length Fleetwood Mac album. Donnie Iris
Donnie Iris (born Dominic Ierace, February 28, 1943) is an American rock musician known for his work with the Jaggerz and Wild Cherry during the 1970s, and for his solo career beginning in the 1980s with his band, the Cruisers. He wrote the #2 ''Billboard'' hit, "The Rapper", with the Jaggerz in 1970 and was a member of Wild Cherry after the group had a #1 hit with "Play That Funky Music." He also achieved fame as a solo artist in the early 1980s with the #29 hit " Ah! Leah!" and the #37 hit " Love Is Like a Rock." In addition to performing on the first three Jaggerz albums and the fourth and final Wild Cherry album, Iris with his solo band has released eleven studio albums, one EP, two live albums, and two compilation albums. "25 Years" is a song by Scottish pop band The Big Dish, released on 20 May 1991 as the third and final single from their third and final studio album, ''Satellites''. The song was written by Steven Lindsay and was produced by the Big Dish. It reached number 87 in the UK Singles Chart. Background "25 Years" was inspired by a recurring nightmare that the band's frontman Steven Lindsay had about having murdered someone. The Catch (British Duo)
The Catch were an English new wave duo active in the 1980s whose members were Don Snow and Chris Whitten. They released two albums and several singles on the Metronome label and had chart success in Europe, most notably with the single "25 Years". History Before the Catch, Snow was a member of the Sinceros and then Squeeze. After his stint with Squeeze in 1982 on the album '' Sweets from a Stranger'', Snow teamed up with Whitten to form the duo The Catch, releasing the debut single "25 Years" in 1983. ''25 Years'' was a three-and-a-half-hour television special that began at 7:30pm, June 1, 1985, on Television New Zealand's TV ONE channel. The special was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of television in New Zealand and was hosted by a variety of well known New Zealand celebrities, both past and present, particularly Dougal Stevenson. The special was memorable for the return to TV of three New Zealand television icons - Ginette McDonald (as her alter ego Lyn Of Tawa) and the return of the cast of South Pacific Television's highly successful comedy series '' A Week Of It'' starring lead comedians David McPhail and Jon Gadsby. At the time 25 Years was the first programme to be given a 3hr time slot, although eventually it ran overtime to three and a half hours.
