The 23rd TVyNovelas Awards were an academy of special awards to the best soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on April 23, 2005 in Mexico D.F. The ceremony was televised in Mexico by El canal de las estrellas. René Strickler and Lucero hosted the show. ''Rubí'' won 7 awards, the most for the evening, including Best Telenovela. Other winners ''Apuesta por un amor'' won 2 awards and ''Inocente de ti'' and ''Misión S.O.S'' won 1 each. María Elena Enríquez Ruiz (born August 18, 1944), known as Helena Rojo, is a Mexican actress and model. Biography Born in Mexico City, Mexico, she began her career as a model in the 1961.
