The East India Company (EIC) was an English, and later British, joint-stock company founded in 1600 and dissolved in 1874. The 20th Duke of Cambridge's Own Infantry (Brownlow's Punjabis) was a regiment of the British Indian Army. It was raised in 1857, as the 8th Regiment of Punjab Infantry.
