2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship will be the 21st staging of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the (FIVB). Starting this staging, the World Championship will be expanded to include 32 teams, increasing from 24 teams. The tournament will thus also be held biannually instead of quadrennially. Bidding process * and Qualification The qualification stage of the competition consists of four categories. The host(s) will secure the first place(s). The current world champions Italy also automatically qualifies. The top three teams from each of the latest Continental Championships will also qualify. The final places will be allocated to the top teams who had not yet qualified as per FIVB World Ranking at the end of the national team season in the year prior to the World Championship. The Italy men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The FIVB Senior World Rankings is a ranking system for men's and women's national teams in volleyball. The teams of the member nations of Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), volleyball's world governing body, are ranked based on their game results with the most successful teams being ranked highest.
