2024–25 Radford Highlanders Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by fourth-year head coach Darris Nichols, played their home games at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. The Highlanders finished the season 20–13, 9–7 in Big South play, to finish in fourth place. They defeated Presbyterian in the quarterfinals of the Big South tournament before losing to High Point in the semifinals. Previous season The Highlanders finished the 2023–24 season 16–17, 5–11 in Big South play, to finish in a tie for eighth place. Darris Nichols
Darris Nichols (born May 20, 1986) is an American basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach at La Salle University, a role he has held since 2025. He was previously the head coach at Radford University. Playing career College Nichols played college basketball at West Virginia Mountaineers men's basketball, West Virginia, where he was a four-year letterman who played in 144 games during his four-year career. Professional After going undrafted out of college, Nichols went on to play professionally for Atomerőmű SE, a professional team in Hungary for one season that went 10-1 and won the Hungarian cup before suffering a knee injury that ended his playing career. Wyoming Cowboys Basketball
The University of Wyoming men's basketball program, which competes in the Mountain West Conference, with the schools first recorded game dating back to 1905. Wyoming won the 1943 NCAA championship under Hall of Fame coach Everett Shelton and behind star guard Ken Sailors, who pioneered the jump shot that is now the standard in basketball.
