2024–25 Oklahoma Sooners Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball team represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sooners, led by head coach Porter Moser in his fourth year, played their home games at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma, as members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). This was the inaugural season for Oklahoma as members of the SEC. Previous season The Sooners finished the 2023–24 season 20–12, 8–10 in Big 12 Play to finish tied in ninth place. They were defeated by TCU in the second round of the Big 12 tournament. Porter Moser
Porter Andrew Moser (born August 24, 1968) is a college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the University of Oklahoma men's basketball team. Moser spent 10 years (2011–2021) at Loyola University Chicago, helping lead the Ramblers to the Final Four in 2018. Originally from Naperville, Illinois, Moser attended and played varsity basketball at Benet Academy, and then Creighton University. Moser previously held the head coaching position at Illinois State (2003–2007) and Arkansas-Little Rock (2000–2003). Prior to being hired at Loyola, Moser was an assistant coach at Saint Louis under Rick Majerus for the 2007-08 season, and the associate head coach from 2008-11. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The High Point Panthers men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents High Point University in High Point, North Carolina in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team competes in the Big South Conference. They made their first ever appearance to the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2025. The Long Beach State Beach men's basketball team represents California State University, Long Beach in Long Beach, California. The school's team competes in the Big West Conference. The Dayton Flyers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) representing the University of Dayton in Ohio.
