2024–25 Monmouth Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Monmouth Hawks men's basketball team represented Monmouth University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hawks, led by 14th-year head coach King Rice, played their home games at OceanFirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, New Jersey as members of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). Previous season The Hawks finished the 2023–24 season 18–15, 10–8 in CAA play, to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place. They defeated Campbell, before falling to top-seeded and eventual tournament champions Charleston in the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament. King Rice
King David Rice (born December 14, 1968) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the head men's basketball coach at Monmouth University. Rice replaced Dave Calloway as head coach of the Hawks on March 29, 2011. Previously, Rice was also the head coach of the Bahamas national basketball team from 2001 to 2004. He is a native of Binghamton, New York, where he attended Binghamton High School from 1983 to 1987, and helped lead the basketball team to two state championships. He then starred at the University of North Carolina before becoming a coach. Cleveland State Vikings men's basketball is the men's college basketball team that represents Cleveland State University. Prior to rebranding from Fenn College, they were known as the Cleveland State Vikings, Fenn College Foxes.
