2024 United States Olympic Trials (gymnastics)
The 2024 United States Olympic gymnastics team trials were the United States Olympic trials (gymnastics), Olympic gymnastics team trials held June 27–30, 2024 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. At the conclusion of the event USA Gymnastics named both the men's and women's team to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Venue In June 2023, USA Gymnastics announced that the 2024 Olympic trials would be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota and take place at the Target Center. Sponsorship Xfinity, the sponsorship platform created to spotlight athletes and connect with Team USA on the journey to qualifying for the Olympic Games. Participants The participants qualified via the 2024 U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. Shilese Jones withdrew prior to the National Championships and petitioned. Kayla Kecia DiCello ( or or ) (born January 25, 2004) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 World all-around bronze medalist. On the junior level, she is the 2019 Junior World vault champion and the 2019 U.S. Junior national all-around champion. She was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team. The Oregon State Beavers women's gymnastics team represents Oregon State University in NCAA women's artistic gymnastics, competing at the Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon. History The program began in 1966; competing the first time in 1967, with Sylvia Moore taking the lead as the first gymnastics coach of the modern era of Oregon State. She headed the program until 1975, when Ron Ludwig succeeded her – the Beavers finished sixth at the AIAW Regional in Monmouth, Oregon. With Ludwig at the helm, the Beavers won the Regional Championship five times, not placing below fourth the whole ten years he was leading. The World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) is a two-facility gymnastics club located in Frisco and Plano.
