2024 Tour Of The Alps
The 2024 Tour of the Alps is a road cycling stage race that took place between 15 and 19 April 2024 in the Austrian state of Tyrol and in the Italian provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol, which all make up the Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino Euroregion. The race is rated as a category 2.Pro event on the 2024 UCI ProSeries calendar, and is the 47th edition of the Tour of the Alps. 2024 UCI ProSeries
The 2024 UCI ProSeries is the fifth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consists of 55 events, of which 33 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 22 are stage races (2.Pro). There were 49 events in Europe, five in Asia, and one in the United States. Schwaz
Schwaz () is a city in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is the administrative center of the Schwaz district. Schwaz is located in the lower Inn valley. Alessandro De Marchi (born 19 May 1986) is an Italian professional road and track bicycle racer who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in San Daniele del Friuli, De Marchi has competed as a professional since the start of the 2011 season, joining the squad after a stagiaire spell with the team at the end of the 2010 season. In the 2012 Giro d'Italia, De Marchi twice featured in a breakaway, during the fifth and fourteenth stages. Salorno sulla Strada del Vino (; german: Salurn ) is the southernmost ''comune'' (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about southwest of the city of Bolzano. It is one of only five mainly Italian-speaking municipalities in South Tyrol.
