The American League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. MLB consists of an East, Central, and West division for each of its two 15-team leagues, the American League (AL) and National League (NL). This division was created before the start of the season along with the American League West division. Before that time, each league consisted of 10 teams without any divisions. Jacob Tanner Diekman (born January 21, 1987), is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, and Boston Red Sox. Christopher M. Bassitt (born February 22, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut with the Chicago White Sox in 2014 and played for the Oakland Athletics from 2015 to 2021 and New York Mets in 2022. Prior to playing professionally, he starred for his basketball and baseball teams at Genoa Area High School and the University of Akron. Aaron James Civale ( ; born June 12, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball at Northeastern University, and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the third round of the 2016 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2019.
