2024 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Tournament
The 2024 NCAA women's gymnastics tournament was the 41st NCAA women's gymnastics tournament, the annual women's gymnastics championship contested by the teams of the member associations of NCAA. The first and second round and regional final were hosted on campuses from April 3 to April 7, 2024, while the semi-final and final were held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas from April 18 to April 20, 2024. LSU won the national title, becoming only the 8th school to win the tournament in NCAA history. Format The eight lowest seeded teams will compete in the first round, followed by the second round. The top two teams from each region will be moved on to the semi-finals in Fort Worth, Texas. Dickies Arena
Dickies Arena is a 14,000-seat multipurpose American arena, located within the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The venue hosted a public ribbon cutting on October 26, 2019. The first event held was a Twenty One Pilots concert on November 8, 2019. The facility is the result of a public-private partnership between Fort Worth, Tarrant County, the state of Texas, and a group of private-sector participants, including foundations, individuals, and organizations. A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. The Georgia Gymdogs (officially the Georgia Bulldogs) is the women's gymnastics team of the University of Georgia. The team is part of NCAA Division I and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Gymdogs compete in Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia. The Oregon State Beavers women's gymnastics team represents Oregon State University in NCAA women's artistic gymnastics, competing at the Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon. History The program began in 1966; competing the first time in 1967, with Sylvia Moore taking the lead as the first gymnastics coach of the modern era of Oregon State.
