The 2024 K League 2, also known as the Hana 1Q K League 2 for sponsorship reasons, is the 12th season of the second division of professional football in South Korea since its establishment in 2013 as the K League Challenge and the seventh season under its current name, the K League 2. Teams Team changes As the 2023 K League 2 champions, Gimcheon Sangmu were promoted to the 2024 K League 1. Suwon Samsung Bluewings were relegated to the K League 2 for the first time in the club's history. Locations The following thirteen teams are participating in the 2024 K League 2. Gimpo
Gimpo () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It borders Incheon, with which it shares the South Korean side of the Han River estuary, as well as Seoul and the lesser cities of Paju and Goyang. North Korea is across the Han River. Asan () is a city in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It borders the Seoul Capital Area to the north. Asan has a population of approximately 300,000.
