2024 European Men's Handball Championship Squads
This article displays the squads for the 2024 European Men's Handball Championship. Each team consists of up to 20 players, of whom 16 may be fielded for each match. ''Age, club, caps and goals as of 10 January 2024.'' Group A France A 20-player squad was announced on 23 December 2023. The roster was reduced to 19 players on 6 January. 2024 European Men's Handball Championship
The 2024 EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the 16th edition of the tournament and the third to feature 24 national teams. It was hosted in Germany from 10 to 28 January 2024. The two opening games of the tournament were attended by 53,586 spectators, setting a world record for the largest audience at a handball event. Additionally, the tournament achieved a record for the highest total number of spectators in handball history, becoming the first to exceed one million attendees. France won their fourth title after a win over Denmark, while Sweden captured the bronze medal over Germany. Charles Bolzinger (born 14 December 2000) is a French handball player for Montpellier Handball and the French national team. David Späth (born 29 April 2002) is a German handball player for Rhein-Neckar Löwen and the Germany men's national handball team, German national team. Alfreð Gíslason
Alfreð Gíslason (born 7 September 1959) is an Icelandic handball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the German men's national team. He won titles in Iceland, Germany and Spain as a player before starting his coaching career in 1991 with Icelandic team KA as a player-coach. He later coached German club SC Magdeburg, where he won the Bundesliga and the EHF Champions League, the Icelandic men's national team and German club THW Kiel, where he won six Bundesliga, six DHB-Pokal and two EHF Champions League titles. Rémi Desbonnet (born 28 February 1992) is a French handballer for Montpellier Handball and the French national team. Career Desbonnet started playing handball at his hometown club Montpellier Handball. His senior debut came in 2012 where he was the back-up goalkeeper to Mickaël Robin. In this season he won the French Cup and finished 3rd in the league.
