2024 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
The 2024 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters is the thirty-eighth season of the premier German touring car championship and also the twenty-fifth season under the moniker of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters since the series' resumption in 2000. It's the fourth season of the DTM to be run under Group GT3 regulations, and the second under ADAC's promotion. Teams and drivers All teams competed with tyres supplied by Pirelli. 2024 ADAC GT Masters
The 2024 ADAC GT Masters is the eighteenth season of the ADAC GT Masters, the grand tourer-style sports car racing series founded by the German automobile club ADAC. Calendar Entry list Results Championship standings ;Scoring system Championship points are awarded for the first fifteen positions in each race. Entries are required to complete 75% of the winning car's race distance in order to be classified and earn points. Individual drivers are required to participate for a minimum of 25 minutes in order to earn championship points in any race. BMW B58
The BMW B58 is a turbocharged straight-six engine, which began production in 2015. The B58 replaced the N55 and was launched in the F30 340i. The B58 is part of BMW's new modular engine family, each engine using a displacement of per cylinder, following the B38 and B48 engine. Thierry Vermeulen (born 29 July 2002) is a Dutch racing driver currently competing for Emil Frey Racing in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. He previously competed in the ADAC GT Masters, scoring a podium alongside Mattia Drudi. Early career Vermeulen began his racing career in 2020, competing for Team GP Elite in the GT4 CS class of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux. He would experience a dominant campaign, winning every race but one on his way towards the title. During the same year, he would also make an appearance in the GT4 European Series at Le Castellet alongside Max Koebolt. In 2021, the Dutchman would continue in Porsches, switching to the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. He won a race at Assen and placed sixth in the standings. Jack Aitken (Korean: 한세용, ''Han Se-yong''; born 23 September 1995 in London) is a British- South Korean racing driver who currently competes for Racing Team Turkey in the European Le Mans Series and for Emil Frey Racing in the ADAC GT Masters and the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. René Rast (born 26 October 1986 in Minden) is a German professional racing driver and the 2017, 2019 and 2020 DTM champion. He previously drove for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler in Formula E from 2019 to 2021 before Audi left the sport at the end of 2021. Sheldon van der Linde (born 13 May 1999) is a South African motor racing driver. He has been competing in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters since 2019 and is currently the DTM champion, after winning his maiden title in 2022. Career van der Linde begun his motorsport career at the age of six, racing karts in his native South Africa. He would go on to win multiple national titles before making the transition to racing cars in 2014.
