2024 Bolivian Primera División Season
The 2024 Bolivian Primera División season is the 47th season of the División Profesional del Fútbol Boliviano, Bolivia's top-flight football league and the seventh season under División de Fútbol Profesional management. The season began on 16 February and is scheduled to end on 22 December 2024. The Strongest are the defending champions. Format The competition format was confirmed at the session of the División Profesional's Council held on 10 January 2024, in which it was decided that two tournaments (Apertura and Clausura) will be played in the season. In the Torneo Apertura, the 16 participating teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each with a round of interzonal matches between derby rivals. The top two teams of each group will advance to a knockout stage, in which teams will play the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. Bolivian Primera División
The División de Fútbol Profesional is the top-flight professional football league in Bolivia. Until 2017 it was known as the "Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano" (; en, Bolivian Professional Football League). Since 1950, a total of 16 clubs have been crowned champions of the Bolivian football league system. The current champions are Bolívar, which won the title in the 2022 Apertura tournament. Bolívar is also the most successful club in the league, with 30 titles to date. Estadio Municipal De El Alto
Estadio Municipal de El Alto, sometimes known as Estadio Municipal de Villa Ingenio, is a multi-use stadium in El Alto, Bolivia. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, on club level by local sides Club Always Ready, Always Ready and Club Deportivo FATIC, Deportivo FATIC. El Alto (Spanish for "The Heights") is the second-largest city in Bolivia, located adjacent to La Paz in Pedro Domingo Murillo Province on the Altiplano highlands. Oriente Petrolero
Club Deportivo Oriente Petrolero () is a Bolivian football club based in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. They play at the 38,000-capacity Estadio Tahuichi Aguilera. Oriente have been Bolivian champions five times, Copa Aerosur winners two times. They have also been successful in South America, by being the second Bolivian team to make the quarter-finals in Copa Libertadores. The club had their first major success in 1971, when they won the league championship. Club Deportivo Guabirá is a Bolivian professional football club from Montero, Santa Cruz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Their home ground is the Estadio Gilberto Parada, which has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. Although the team has always been based in Montero, they played in Santa Cruz de la Sierra until 1999 when their stadium was finally brought up to first division standards. Club Social, Cultural y Deportivo de Blooming, commonly known as Blooming, is a Bolivian professional football club from Santa Cruz de la Sierra that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Club Always Ready
Club Always Ready, better known as Always Ready, is a Bolivian football club from La Paz which plays its home games in nearby El Alto. Due to the jerseys the team is also known as ''Banda Roja'', or the red band. History Club Always Ready was founded on 13 April 1933. The team took part in the La Paz championship, which was held in 1950 under semi-professional conditions; it was organized by La Paz Football Association (LPFA). UNITEL (UNIVERSAL DE TELEVISIÓN) is a Bolivian commercial television network headquartered in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. It was founded in 1987. It is owned by businessman Osvaldo Monasterio Nieme. The company broadcasts sports, entertainment, political programs, and daily news programs nationwide in the South American country.
