2024 Basilicata Regional Election
The 2024 Basilicata regional election was held on 21 and 22 April 2024 for all 21 elected seats of the Regional Council of Basilicata and the president of Basilicata, who automatically becomes a member of the council alongside the second-placed candidate. It is the final election in Italy before the 2024 European Parliament election in June 2024 and the third election of the 2024 Italian regional elections cycle (after Sardinia and Abruzzo). After some negotiations, the Centre-right coalition (Italy), centre-right coalition confirmed Vito Bardi, the incumbent president. Regional Council Of Basilicata
The Regional Council of Basilicata (''Consiglio Regionale della Basilicata'') is the legislative assembly of Basilicata. It was first elected in 1970, when the ordinary regions were instituted, on the basis of the Constitution of Italy of 1948. Composition The Regional Council of Basilicata was originally composed of 30 regional councillors. Following the decree-law n. 138 of 13 August 2011 the number of regional councillors was reduced to 20, with an additional seat reserved for the President of the Region.
