2024 America East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2024 America East Men's Basketball Conference tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the America East Conference. It was held March 9–16, 2024, at campus sites of the higher seeds. The winner, 2023–24 Vermont Catamounts men's basketball team, Vermont, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2024 NCAA Tournament. The tournament was sponsored by Jersey Mike's Subs. Seeds Eight of the nine America East teams qualified for the tournament. The teams were seeded by record in conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. The tiebreaker steps are 1) head-to-head records in games involving the tied teams; 2) winning percentage versus conference opponents in descending rank order, taking into account groups of teams tied in the standings rather than individual tied teams; 3) winning percentage in conference road games; 4} better NCAA NET ranking through end of ...

America East Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The America East men's basketball tournament, popularly known as the America East Playoffs, is the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the America East Conference. The winner of the annual tournament gains an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. Format and hosts As of 2013, the first rounds take place at a single location, usually the home arena of one of the conference schools, but the championship game is hosted the next weekend by the higher remaining seed. The 2013 and 2014 Tournament preliminary rounds were hosted by the University at Albany. Beginning in 2015, the format was changed from a single location in the first rounds to multiple locations. John Becker (basketball)
John Becker (born April 17, 1968) is an American college basketball coach, currently the head coach of the Vermont Catamounts of the America East Conference. He replaced Mike Lonergan, who left to become the coach at George Washington University. On January 5, 2023, Becker became the winningest coach in Vermont history, with a 74–64 win over Bryant, surpassing Tom Brennan. Coaching career Gallaudet/Catholic University Becker's college coaching career began in 1994 when he became an assistant at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. In 1997, Becker was elevated to head coach of the Bison, where he served from 1997 to 1999. Becker also served as the men's tennis coach, despite never playing the game, and also worked in the information technology field, as the coaching positions were part-time.
